A place full of creativity and art!
Well, if you are interested in Art in Second Life (and in Real Life), there are a lot of intesting and so creative people and galleries out there you shouldn’t miss. I already introduced Artsville and the Cloud Galleries to you, now I would like to introduce another (friends‘) Gallery that features different Art and Artist and also exhibits the own curators‘ works. Of course I am talking about Selen’s Gallery!
Selen’s Gallery is hosted and curated by Selen Love (Minotaur), a french digital artist. She is wandering in Second Life since mid of 2008 and curates her own Gallery since November 2020. Since July 2022 she extended the gallery and opened it to all talented artists of SL willing to share original new artworks. Selen does 4 opening vernissages by year, a new one each 3 months with a set of 2D and 3D artists.
In 2023 she rebuilt and updated the gallery. There are now 2 levels:
- At both levels, you will find her brand new works, most of them initially made for the physical world and displayed for the very first time in Second Life.
- At second level, you will find also a machinima room for which she received valuable technical assistance from Adwehe, many thanks to her!
Selen’s Gallery inworld
When landing at the Gallery you first enter Selen’s Space. You can find some information there and also a gift. Additionally the current installations are listed here as well and you can travel from installation to installation via teleporter! In Selen’s Gallery she displayed her latest works, 2D & 3D art and there is also Machinima Room you shouldn’s miss! Her Machinima called “The first day of the rest of your life“ won the Touchstone Independent Film Festival in the category best machinima short!

In September 2024 there was a opening Event of 3 artists I would like to show you. You can still visit all 3 exhibtions but you have to run!
Selen is a creative Soul who exhibits her works in different galleries and installations. Currently she and her partner Bohemio Love contribute at SLEA’s „Teach Peace – Art Fusion Expo“ which runs until the end of December. Also, Tom and I are very proud to have Selen and her Art at HeArt & Soul Gallery very soon! 😉

Art Installations at Selen’s Gallery
The Keyhole – by Selen
An installation that mixes 2D, 3D and multimedia, and that is optimized in PBR. Its recommended to use shared environment, ultra graphic settings and PBR enabled viewer. The Keyhole (in my opinion) is about secrets, mysteries, your own desires and hidden demands. The combination of mostly black, red and white 2D and 3D elements lets you dive deep into your own thoughts and get lost in the feelings. This installation is based on 2 floors. You should take your time while visiting, in fact Tom and I spend a while there!

In Flanders Fields – by Konrad
Konrad (AK Kaiju Kohime) and his latest 3D installation „In flanders fields“ through which the Belgian artist offers us a vision that is at once raw, poetic and surrealist of an era full of wars. PBR install! Konrad adapted it so that older viewers can see it, nevertheless the installation is definitely PBR optimized! I highly recommend to free your mind before visiting this installation, when you are very sensitive person or somehow triggered by war scenarios. Its a rough theme – but so much worth to see. Soul Searchers – by Miles Cantelou
This English artist in the physical world (paintings and mixed medias) used to be in Second Life and left it 7 or 8 years ago. After Selens‘ inquiry he came back to provide a wonderful 2D exhibition. His exhibtion contains 3 themes: Gallery Picasso, showing his next Lifetime exhibition, Gallery Surrealism, showing Street and surreal art & Gallery Art Searchers, showing the Soul Searchers exhibtion. Basically, this one is only available until the end of November, so take your ride! TP to Soul Searchers.
The Abys of Dreams – by Serena
The images of this talented Japanese SL photographer are avatar focused in a fantasy mode with sometimes a touch of surrealism and each of them tells a story. Her work is refreshing and you can dive through her art and explore your very own story in the pictures. In any case, this exhibtion is also available to see only until the end November, so take your Direct-TP: The Abys of Dreams
