an ART SHOW for a good cause
I’ve already introduced this event to you a few days ago. You can read this article here! Now I want to show you some more details on this event, raising donations and supporting the fight against breast cancer. The event area is open from NOW until Oct. 13th! I will focus on the Art Show for sure 😉
But first, let me show you a few impressions of the area, where to find not only awesome art by incredible artists, but also a lot of shopping and (live) music!
Visit the official ROCK YOUR RACK WEBSITE to get all information. You can look up the event schedules and get more information on the cause itself. Also you can have a look at the HUNT items! Several designer joined the HUNT and provided a HUNT ITEM you can purchase for 10L$ only – 100% will be donated! Also you can find several excluive items, that will be retired after the event. ART SHOW 2024
More than 30 incredible artists have followed Jamee’s call and joined the art show. Everyone was given an own booth in a container look, where to exhibit their works. The most L$ earned of the picture sales will be donated to the cause – so you definitely should have a look and took the one or other picture with you!
A detailed view on some Artists
Here are just a few artist that I wanted to introduce to you. There are so many more and all of them are amazing! You shuld take your time and walk through all booth. But of course I also want to show you my booth for sure, where you can see and get my artworks. You can go there directly here! Those 5 pictures I made expecially for this event, all in the color of pink(s) and 2 of them in PBR materials (yes, I did it again!) All of them show a different style of my work, I hope you like it! ♥
L.S. Photography
Two of my pictures are a style I’ve never done before. They are silhouettes edited to end up in an abstract / post modern way, underlaid with a canvas texture. Of course all my pictures are inworld-shots I edited in this case. I am not using AI on any of my artworks. The two pictures using PBR materials are my favourites! When you move your camera or play with (PBR) EEP you can get different results everytime you look at it. (Read more on PBR pictures in my previous article.) So it’s worth to stay a while and play with lights! I am curious where the new possibilities and textures will affect the art seen in Second Life. For me, I will continuing playing with PBR Materials from now and then. You can also stay tuned on Facebook, Flickr & Primfeed!
My intension of joining
What was my intension of joining this event? Although I am not affected nor have I any people in my near circle who suffer from breast cancer, it’s a privilege for me to support any kind of charity event. The organizers of such events put a lot effort, personal time and money in providing a great show, area and line up to the visitors. That’s whats makes SL alive! They create this for YOU and for the cause itself and its a great opportunity when you can reach out as many people as possible, either as visitors or as artists. And if you can also do a little bit of good, you should seize the opportunity and join, in any way you can! So please visit this area and support the event and organizers and (musical) artists – who put a lot of effort into entertaining you!
